Where has this summer gone?! I have had a great time since leaving Kuwait.... Germany was fantastic and Austria was amazing. I saw so much in two weeks and also made some awesome friends! After a long, exhausting flight home from Frankfurt, I got to see my best friends in the world. Luana, Jessica and Kerry all came to the coast and we rented a beach house for a few days. We definitely had a girls' weekend and it was fabulous! After the 4th of July, I had a few days to rest and unpack before joining the Oosterdam in Seattle. When I walked on the ship, it felt like I'd never left. Walking down the I-95 and seeing all my friends from years past was great! Some of my favorites were onboard and I met some new friends to add to my favorites.
Now, I'm in Spokane with my parents, my aunt Julie and my cousin Clare. We are visiting a family friend and are enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. In a few days we are going to visit my best friend, Luana, and enjoy some vino in wine country. Then, I'm flying to Southern California to see my best friend from college and my grandparents. By the time I get home, I'll have about 3 days before I fly back out to Kuwait on the 26th.
I'm stoked to get back to Kuwait and get my classroom all set up. Vacation has been nice, but I'm ready to get back into it. My classroom theme this year is going to be owls and polka dots. I'm excited to get the room ready for the first day of school and get the school year started!
Sorry for the lack of writing this summer... I have been busy visiting friends and playing on the Oostie in Alaska all summer. I'll write again after school starts.
